Divorce, dissolution, separation, and annulment records are not held by the County Clerk as marriage licenses are. They are Circuit Court case files. Certified Grant County Marriage Copies

Certified proof depends on the record type. For marriage, Oregon Vital Records says a state marriage certificate has a state file number and is printed on security paper. The state page also warns that it may take several weeks for county paperwork to be registered, and an official state certificate is usually not available for about one month after the county submits the paperwork. Some uses, including passport-related needs, may require a state certified certificate rather than a county record.

For divorce, request the decree, judgment, or other case document from Grant County Circuit Court. The court copy rules say records are typically available within five business days, payment must be made before processing, and a request can be closed if the requester does not respond to a court request for more information or payment within sixty court business days. Confidential family information, protected addresses, and restricted documents may not be released through ordinary public copy channels.
